We, the representatives of the HETI ÚJ SZÓ BARÁTI KÖR Association from Timișoara, the MAKÓI SZOLGÁLTATÓ NONPROFIT Zrt. from Makó and the youth organization MAGYAR IFJÚSÁGI SZÖVETSÉG from Szeged, are confident that through this page we will be able to create a true bridge between the communities in Timiș and Csongrád-Csanád counties.

Now, at the beginning of our joint project, materialized through the page RoHuRegio.eu, I express my hope and belief that this page will be accessed by very, very many residents of Timiș and Csongrád-Csanád counties in the first place, as well as by many people from all over the world, who will be interested in the events, happenings, stories from this area. We are committed to being as present as possible in everyday life and to mirror correctly and faithfully /almost everything/ that happens in our area, but we will not hesitate to reflect important, relevant moments from the neighbourhoods.

We are happy that we will honor our above formulated promises with the support of the European Union, Romania and Hungary, without any obstacles, fully assuming the norms of professional ethics of journalists.

About Us

The Heti ÚJ SZÓ Baráti Kör Association, together with its two partners from Hungary – MAKÓI Szolgáltató Nonprofit ZRT and the Hungarian Youth Association of Szeged – is implementing a cross-border project aimed at improving public information in the cross-border regions.

The main activities of the one-year project:

  • Workshops

    Within the project, we will organize three workshops in Romania and three in Hungary, relying also on the opinions of representatives of Generations Y and Z.

  • Conferences

    Both in Romania and Hungary, we will organize one-day conferences. Local media representatives as well as experts will be invited. The main topic will be assessing and developing cooperation among professionals working in the local press, with the goal of improving the flow of information about everyday life and events in the cross-border region.

  • Portal
    As part of the project, a bilingual website – in Romanian and Hungarian – will be created for publishing content, enabling the inhabitants of the region to access essential information that concerns them directly. – https://rohuregio.eu
  • Media content
    Creating targeted content for the intended groups. Informing the public about local news, cultural events, and social issues affecting the inhabitants of the area.

The total value of the project is EUR 213,948.
